Rumford, Rhode Island. Whitford, makers of the world’s largest, most complete line of fluoropolymer coatings, has confirmed Teknicote of Rumford, Rhode Island, as a member of the “Whitford Recommended Coater” (WRC) program and awarded a plaque to Steve Dolan, President of Teknicote. David Carlsen, industry expert for Whitford, states, “With over 50,000 square feet of production space and its ISO 9001 – 2015 standard in place, Teknicote continuously meets and exceeds customer expectations for quality coatings.”
The Whitford Recommended Coater program recognizes custom coaters who meet certain criteria. Among them: the coater must have thorough knowledge of Whitford coatings and experience in applying them, must complete a Whitford training course held at the worldwide headquarters and must have certain quality-assurance procedures in place. Coaters in the program go through rigorous audits every two years to requalify for the program.
For over 46 years, Teknicote, a specialty surface-finishing company, has focused on the industrial, commercial, electronic and medical OEMs. Achieving Whitford’s recommended-coater status completes the company’s commitment to a process-driven, diverse line of surface finishes for major manufacturers throughout the northeast.
Adds Teknicotes’ Steve Dolan, “Becoming a Whitford Recommended Coater dovetails perfectly into our overall marketing strategy of further penetration into the medical-device, oil and gas and food-processing markets. We now have both the high-quality coatings and in-depth technical support and advice that are the hallmark of Whitford Worldwide.”
